Christopher is a talented musician both as composer and performer. Having achieved a 2.1 BA (Hons) degree from the University of Southampton, Christopher furthered his studies at Kingston University where he was awarded a distinction for his MA in Composing for Film and Television. Christopher composes music to detailed briefs in a variety of genres. His talents are most evident when composing for animation, a skill for which he has received much praise. Christopher has a passion for animation and has composed in many different established styles. With an extensive knowledge and understanding of the musical scores for animation of Carl Stalling, Raymond Scott, Scott Bradley, Richard Stone, Winston Sharples, Mark Mothersbaugh, Alf Clausen, Randy Newman, Michael Giacchino, Harry Gregson-Williams and John Powell, it is obvious why Christopher feels at home composing in this genre. Due to his quick turnaround, reliability, and his enthusiatic and friendly nature, he has forged budding relationships with up and coming animators and directors.
As a performer, Christopher is predominantly a saxophonist and plays tenor and baritone saxophone. He also plays piano and violin to a high standard and sings. He has perfomed in many popular styles such as ska, rocksteady, reggae, rhythm and blues, blues, big band/swing band, jazz and contemporary. Christopher has also been part of a successful university ska band and has experience performing symphonic, wind band and choral music. Whilst spearheading his college marching band, Christopher led the open top bus parade carrying the triumphant rowers from the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games through the streets of Henley and has sung in front of the Queen during the official opening of the Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel.
