Composer, producer and musical director for theatre shows and commercial recordings. With music set against adult themes, compositions have attracted both critical acclaim and commercial success including: The Edinburgh Festival, Above The Stag theatre and many other venues in London, including appearances on BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio Scotland and Vintage TV. Other work includes commissions for Clementine The Living Fashion Doll - Mark Mander and 6 concept albums released by Cherry Red Records, featuring Andy Bell as ‘Torsten’.
Performer in many orchestras, bands and music groups around London & Surrey and composer of a variety of wind band, saxophone quartet, saxophone octet & big band original pieces as well as arrangements of well-known pieces (5 publications with Warwick Music.)
Teacher of saxophone, piano, clarinet, violin, flute, classical and jazz theory; composer, arranger and musical director; studio recording and producer. A good communicator with the ability to connect with pupils, working with individuals to nurture their talent and help them to reach their full potential, whilst building strong relationships with parents. Please click on the photos above to view my home studio, Studio Aramis. The Andy Bell is Torsten albums have been composed, recorded and mixed in the studio along with all of my compositions and arrangements for wind ensembles and TV/internet videos.
The acoustically treated studio is fully equipped with iMac, audio interface, microphone, monitors and headphones to work in partneship with Sibelius notation software, Logic Studio and mastering software.
